How Long Is Beast of Reincarnation? Story & 100% Times
Updated August 7, 2026 · Facts cross-checked against the sources listed below
Expect 25–35 hours for the story, 40–50 hours for all achievements, and up to ~80 hours for the platinum (which requires a full NG+ run). Game Freak’s own pre-launch estimate was about 40 hours.
Playtime by Goal
| Goal | Time | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Main story (13 chapters + epilogue) | 25–35 hrs | Overlap of Game8 (20–30) and GameRant (~30) |
| Story + exploration & most trophies | 30–50 hrs | Game8 30–40; GameRant 40–50 for all achievements |
| Platinum (two playthroughs incl. NG+) | ~60–80 hrs | PowerPyx ~30 hr roadmap × 2 runs + collectibles |
HowLongToBeat now lists the game with early player submissions: ~21 hours Main Story and ~27 hours Main + Extras — but from only a handful of votes so far, which is why it runs under the published-guide estimates above. Expect the HLTB median to climb toward the 25–35 hour band as more completions come in.
What Adds Time
- No side-quest system: the game is a single main questline, so “100%” time comes from exploration, not quest lists.
- 323 collectibles, strongboxes and elite hunts across the 13 regions — all collectible after the story, nothing missable.
- Base activities: growing crops, hatching eggs, and Koo & Kagura’s research projects at the Cleanse Walker.
- NG+ requirement: the platinum’s Reincarnated trophy needs a second, faster playthrough — details in New Game Plus.
Does Difficulty Change the Length?
Only through retries. Story mode’s heavy damage reduction makes bosses quicker to clear, while Hard’s tight parry windows add attempts rather than content. There are no difficulty-locked trophies (see trophy guide), so speed-minded players can platinum entirely on the easiest setting.
