Every Known Fertilized Egg
Fertilized Eggs are Valuables, so Koo will sniff them out and mark them on your map with a white square holding a black four-pointed star. That icon is the fastest way to find them.

The Great Wall Terraces (Chapter 3) has none — a full collectible sweep of that zone turned up no Fertilized Egg. Don’t waste time looking. (It does have the Egg Onigiri cook book, which is probably where the confusion starts.) Zones from Chapter 4 onward have no published collectible lists at all yet.
How the Incubator Works
The facility is officially called the Incubator (not a chicken coop, despite how some articles describe it) and sits among the ten Cleanse Walker facilities alongside the Grow Chamber. It unlocks when you reach Chapter 2.
- Open the Incubator and pick an empty nest slot.
- Place a Fertilized Egg.
- Advance time by resting at the Bed.
- It hatches into a chicken, which then lays ordinary Eggs.
Kagura collects the eggs automatically, though you can pick them up yourself. Hatching also raises her rapport, as does planting crops.
Adding Slots: The Two-Material Trap
This catches people out, so it’s worth stating plainly. Expanding the Incubator (and Grow Chamber) needs two different materials in sequence:
- Generator Devices (blue skulls, 26 total) unlock the higher-tier upgrades that make extra slots possible.
- Facility Modules (18 fixed, plus random strongbox drops) actually open the slots.
Buying the upgrade does not give you the slot — you still need Facility Modules afterwards. Slots that can be expanded are marked with a gear icon. Facility Modules also turn up on the derelict walkers scattered around each zone.
Is Any of This Worth Your Time?
Honest answer: it is convenience, not completion. Cross-checking the entire 46-trophy list against two independent trophy guides confirms there is no trophy tied to eggs, chickens or the incubator. Green Thumb asks for every seedling, not eggs. Gourmand asks for cook books.
What you get instead is a renewable egg supply that feeds four recipes — Fried Egg, Egg Onigiri, Omelette and Meat Omelette — plus steady rapport progress with Kagura. If you are chasing the platinum, it’s optional. If you want to stop hunting ingredients in the field, it pays for itself quickly. Still unknown: how long an egg takes to hatch, the starting and maximum slot counts, how often chickens lay and how many at a time, whether chickens can die or need feeding, and the total number of Fertilized Eggs in the game.
