Notably below the $70–80 AAA norm. The Standard bonuses are not a limited pre-order incentive — one outlet labeled them pre-order rewards, but the more detailed source confirms they’re included with the edition itself, so buying after launch loses nothing.
Is the Deluxe Worth $10?
The 100,000 Amber is the practical item — it funds early upgrades and respecs comfortably. Big Dipper is a solid blade but not required for any build (see weapons guide), and the rest is cosmetic. Buy Deluxe for convenience, not power.

Game Pass and Where to Buy Digital
The game launched into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (console, PC and cloud) on day one — the cheapest way to try it ⚠ single source for tier details. Digital storefronts: Steam, Microsoft Store and PlayStation Store; Steam also sells the Deluxe upgrade as separate DLC if you start on Standard.
How that has gone, in Game Freak’s own words (September 9, 2026): in a Famitsu interview, director Kota Furushima said the game “was played by far more people than imagined” for a brand-new IP, and credited two things — Xbox Game Pass, which put it in front of players worldwide, and strong sales of the physical PS5 edition. It is the first time anyone at Game Freak has characterised how the game is selling; no figure was given, and the mixed critical reception was not the story from where he sits.
